Texas Executive Order GA-29 An GA-32 Exemptions - Sabine County Update
As of December 18, Sabine County is no longer exempt from Texas Executive Order GA-29 ( relating to face covering) as Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) data shows that the county has 45 new cases during the previous 14 day period. Sabine County will be eligible to reapply for this exemption in 14 days if the County maintains 30 or less new COVID-19 cases during that timeframe.
Sabine County no longer qualifies to be exempt for the GA-32.
GA-32 allows counties in TSAs with high hospitalizations to choose to
operate at 75 percent capacity if:
• the county has fewer than 30 cases reported over the last 14 days, and
• the county judge submits an attestation to DSHS.
See links below for more details.
If you have questions about the notice or your obligations under Executive Order GA-29 and GA-32 please contact DSHS at 888-963-7111 or coronavirus@dshs.texas.gov
